Been a lawyer close to 20 years. I know a lot of lawyers with huge TDS. Smart people. I’ve yet to get a concise answer on how “abuse of power” or the newly crafted “obstruction of Congress” constitutes a high crime and misdemeanor. 100,000 pages of federal law. Yet nothing that fits these facts that can withstand any degree of scrutiny. There will never be another like Trump. Thank you for your service, Mr. President. A lesser man would have cut bait years ago.
This is going to depend on who the Republicans field against these people. I live in Matt Cartwright's district. Last election his challenger was some out of state idiot that bought a house in the area months before the election. When asked he said he would probably not be a full time resident of the district. Hopefully this time they put up a credible candidate. Cartwright isn't as popular as he thinks. He's the benefactor of a weak local republican party.
While watching the "Merry Christmas Rally" last night, what came to mind was Trump is exactly the person this country needed.
This thought came to mind when he mentioned what his family has to go through with all the political attacks, and that he was fine with it but the family has to deal with its side-effects.
Explaining to the kids last night over dinner that there were no 'high crimes and misdemeanors' was a good conversation to have.
I had a similar douche-bag "friend". I recommend you cut off all contact and leave all that negativity behind. FYI, I deleted FB last year and missed it for about three days - seriously. After that, my blood pressure improved and my quality of life is better for it.
