She got what she wanted, being able to put a scarlet letter (Impeached) on GEOTUS’ record. She does NOT want him acquitted or exonerated in the senate. So her failing to name impeachment managers means the senate can’t take it up, leave no the process in limbo.

I don’t think it’s been so much about the donor base, as this article speculates. I think it’s more about protecting her son, and the rest of the political heirs, from their Burisma and Ukraine scandals. She wants to be able to say Trump’s DOJ is acting in partisan revenge for the impeachment.

So it was just a vote to show they hate him, they don’t really care about removing him from office. I thought leaving him in the White House was a threat to the 2020 election, but I guess that was just more rhetoric.
