Almost half the country only know what they're spoonfed by CNN/MSNBC/CBS/ABC/WaPo/NYTimes/Vox/Buzzfeed etc and have lost their minds. TDS is real. Critical thinking is absent with these folks, all they know is Orange Man Bad.

I worked on Harry Brown’s campaign in 96 and 2000. I was very much a libertarian from an ideological stance. However, I have come over to Trump’s view, as the trade argument convinced me that free trade/open borders doesn’t work if every other country is not playing by the very rules they foist on us. As an ideology, I still maintain my libertarian streak, but until reality catches up, I’m a nationalist populist.

You are honest and informed, thanks for sharing your perspective. I may not agree with everything you say, but I am glad you are seeing the hive mind of the left.

It is staggering. They just impeached Trump because he is concerned about where US taxpayer aid money is going.

Biden is clearly corrupt. It doesn't take a brain surgeon (like Ben Carson, who the left calls stupid) to figure out Burisma wasn't paying a crack addict for advice, and they were paying him more than board members of Exxon received. They weren't paying him to be nice, they were getting something, and Joe as you say publicly bragged about getting a prosecutor fired. Imagine if Eric Trump got a lobster dinner from Burisma, there would be endless articles about it.

How could you NOT be a Trump supporter if you know the left's character and actions and policies?

Doesn't sound too wise.

I am a libertarian...leaning toward AnCap. Trump doesn't align with my views on government almost at all. I do love that he is a big middle finger to the establishment though forsure.

WoodenSpoon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Probably as close as we're going to get for a long time. I agree with the middle finger to the establishment. As a Johnson and Brown voter, I will definitely be voting Trump in 2020.

Serious question: would Hornberger stand a chance against the deep state? If he didn't fold immediately what experience dies he have winning this sort of war?

Trump fought governments to get his stuff built. And now we see how effortlessly he has the left manipulated to destroy themselves.

This is why Trump needs your support. He's the only guy who knows how to win.

In 2022, we can run libertarians against Republicans as they will be the new left once the democrats are gone.

Hornberger is definitely a man of integrity. Trump seems to think he can fix these organizations (CIA, FBI, etc...) If he wanted, Trump could disband them. But he doesn't. These are the things that baffle me about Trump. Why would he put someone like Wray in charge of the FBI? There were a million better choices, but he picks Wray, a deep state stooge. I just don't get it. Hornberger is running (at least in part) on abolishing these deep state agencies altogether. I personally think that is really the only solution.

I got ya until you said you’re throwing your vote away on Somebody Hornberger, is that a joke?

1
BrandonODonnell [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah. My vote doesn't matter anyway.

2
lilwhitejeep 2 points ago +2 / -0

Cmon man! Truth to be told, my relatives escaped a communist country. I vote because there are people around the world who don’t get to. But, you do you ??‍♀️

jgardner 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's how losers play the game. Once you realize that they win when you believe your vote doesn't matter, you'll be singing a different song.

We are a conservative-liberal country manipulated by leftists. We should all be voting.

BrandonODonnell [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

My individual vote doesn't matter. I live in a state that OVERWHELMINGLY votes Democrat no matter what.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your personal support for impeaching our President over military actions you disagree with.

Best wishes to you and Jacob Hornberger.

Bush's war mongering in Iraq turned me into a Democrat when I was in college, but then Obama's war mongering in Libya and Syria turned me into an independent (but Republican leaning because let's face it the Dems are fucking insane right now). I can't promise I'll always vote R, but if Republicans continue to stand for the average American worker that just wants to work hard and live in freedom and prosperity, then they will have my vote. As far as I can tell, Dems have gone all in with globalists and a borderless society agenda which to me sounds like a losing outcome for average Americans.

Like you I am also super annoyed at how hypocritical Democrats are. It's ok if they oppose certain actions, but if they give their own side a pass for doing the exact same thing then I can't take them seriously. If you're going to stand for something at least be consistent.

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for visiting and posting your thoughts. I agree that the masses are incredibly under-informed. It's to the point we should probably be testing people to know if they even understand the issues, before they vote. (I jest, but only halfway. It's discouraging.) An example is a recent Biden 'rally' (87 people showed up -- but Trump is 'afraid' of him because he's such a threat - eye roll). I saw a short clip and he lied twice in that short clip. He said that he knows how to negotiate and bring the two sides together, as he was able to bring republicans on board to vote for obamacare. Of course, that is a flat out lie as not one republican voted for it and that can easily be checked by checking the congressional voting record. But the audience were clapping and saying, "yeah, that's right." He also said that 'nobody was questioning' the whole issue with Hunter and Burisma. Hello? Wake up sleepy Joe, the entire country, even some democrats have questioned that! It's very frustrating to know there are people who are so uninformed / misdirected / plain stupid that they haven't got a clue - but they still go out and vote. Ugh.

Anyway, would you mind answering some questions? You say you don't support Potus, but do you support ANY of these accomplishments of his? If not and you're willing to say which you don't support, and why, please do. It's nice to have a civil discussion with someone who doesn't agree. Thanks! These are just a few of the things president Trump has done since taking office a little less than 3 years ago. I support them ALL. Please let us know which you do and do not, support.

  • Getting rid of the Trans Pacific Partnership (basically NAFTA but with Europe)
  • Getting us out of the Paris Climate Accord where Americans pay for what India and China are doing while they pay nothing for 10 years.
  • Stepping up and going after human traffickers and pedophiles with massive, unprecedented busts of these rings.
  • Relocating the embassy to Jerusalem, as the USA had been promising for 30 years.
  • Negotiating millions of manufacturing jobs BACK to America (after obama said they weren't coming back and asking if Trump has a magic wand.)
  • Making our so called Nato allies pay for the services they are supposed to pay and that American taxpayers have been paying, for decades. Saving taxpayers many billions.
  • Cancelling a standing order for two new air force 1 planes because the price was too high, and renegotiating that with Boeing.
  • Taking no actual salary and instead giving it to various causes like the National Parks Dept. and Veterans cemeteries for repairs.
  • Creating the 'right to try' legislation that allows terminal patients to decide for themselves to try new drugs not yet approved by FDA. (A number of people have already been saved by doing so.)
  • Meeting with Kim Jong Un and bringing North and South Koreans together for the first time since the 1950s. (families reunited)
  • Creating the lowest minority unemployment EVER in our country, as well as overseeing the 400% increase in black entrepreneurs / business owners.
  • Lifting 5 million people off food stamps.
  • Cutting taxes so we all get to keep more of what we earn.
  • Starting Space Force.

Honestly, I could sit here typing for a couple of more hours. I have never seen a president, let alone one person, let alone someone having so much ill will thrown at him 24/7, get so much accomplished and in such a short amount of time. The man is a phenomenon of nature. This is truly just a fraction of what he has done. I'd love to hear why you support Mr. Hornberger over such a high achieving individual - unless of course you disagree with these accomplishements. Thanks, Brandon.

First off, just want to say, this is a great post and I'm pleased to answer all of these. I support each of these things in the list with the exception of relocating embassy to Jerusalem (I'm indifferent toward this)...Space Force (I'm generally against a new branch of the military, though I'm relatively uneducated on the specifics of it). I think Trump is the best president of my lifetime, pretty easily (Starting with Bush Sr.) I have some big issues with some of the things he's done and said. In my mind, when he advocated for killing the family members of terrorists during one of the Republican debates, he disqualified himself from my support. Now, if he could prove that he was just speaking flippantly and recant that, then I might reconsider. If I recall correctly, he said that you need to "take out their families" because they care about their lives, or something to that effect. I dislike the sanctions. I dislike the tariffs. I dislike his outrageously high budget deficits. And I know congress has the power of the purse, but Trump could veto these spending bills if he wanted. Trump should have Assange extradited here to the US and then immediately pardon him. He hasn't withdrawn troops from the middle east like he said he was. He's surrounded himself with globalist, neocons in almost every single cabinet position...and then listens to their advice. I DO really like Neil Gorsuch on the SC. Not a huge fan of Kavanaugh, although I don't believe there is any validity to the rape claims against him. Those are just some of my thoughts.

gnomenclature 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks, Brandon. I appreciate that you came back to the thread to answer my questions. I personally like the tariffs as they are constitutional and I believe them to be working. I agree wholeheartedly about Assange and can only hope there is more going on there than we know. He has tried to bring troops home and had amazing resistance from the dems as we'd somehow be 'leaving our allies to fend for themselves.' As for some of those around him, I too have scratched my head, but I believe this is another area where we aren't seeing the whole picture. Something of a 'keep your friends close and your enemies, closer.' I believe he may be bringing some of these people in to his circle in order to keep an eye on them / ensnare them.

I do believe there are massive amounts of things happening quietly, behind the scenes, and of course, being under reported by the msm. These are important and significant things that affect the underpinning of the deep state apparatus. And I do believe he is deconstructing that apparatus, much to the chagrin and outright hatred of many powerful elites. I do believe he is a genius and that we are fortunate to live in a time when we can witness this all happening, firsthand. Of course, I'd rather we weren't up against such evil, but we are and it's amazing to see how this one man, so determined, so brave and so strong has taken on that powerful and evil machine. Some say he is coarse, rough around the edges, graceless, unpresidential. I don't see it that way at all. To me, he is exactly what we need at this moment in history. Anyway, thanks for chatting and thanks for the civility. I hope we will one day win you fully to our side. :D Oh, and if you were born during Bush 1, I'm very impressed that you have as much interest as you do, since so many young people find politics horribly boring -- at least until they're a little older, that is.
