I really find the need of directors or producers or whoever to throw black or other race actors into other race characters ridiculous.
It’s almost like claiming Thor could be black when he’s Norse or Nordic? Whatever.
This doesn’t seem to work the opposite way either. You will never see a white guy playing a black role.
I’d laugh my ass off if they cast a white guy in roots as a main character. Why? Because it’d be absolutely stupid.
There are roles that can be switched I’m sure without major issue, but when it doesn’t make sense to cast a different race, why do it?
And again, I’d guarantee that this only works one way. You will never see a minority race role cast by a white person. (I’d wager anyway. I could be wrong.)
The only way that I’d buy into this being remotely ok was if it actually worked both ways, and it doesn’t seem to.

It's what they do
Same difference.
Who cares? Don't we have policy decisions in the republican party to be focusing and spending our time on?
