Philip Bump doesn't understand the Constitution, Congress, and the basic form of our national government. Or math, maybe?

Senators are elected to represent their respective STATES. House members are elected to represent the population.

Trump needs 34 Senators to be acquitted. 1/3 of the states. That's 34%. 17 states.

Math - and civics - is hard when you're a Lefty.

Sorry I don't have a link - it was on my Windows news app. It's behind a paywall.

7% of the country? Republicans have both Senators in Texas and Florida. That ALONE is 50 million people. That's 1/6th the US population.

Yep. The guy picks the necessary number of Senators from the LEAST populated states for his fake news story.

Of course, the SJW's and NPC's will see this and go nuts. Muh popular vote.

They are the same ones who think Pelosi's Peach vote removed Trump from office.

The WaPo is more than happy to feed the beast with lies.

The Senate is second only to the Electoral College on the socialist "abolish this"-list. They want a nationwide, un-differentiated blob "democracy", totally at odds with what the Founders intended.
