They eat their own. This is almost sad to see. I don't like Tulsis politics, but she fought for our country, is trying to be somewhat sensible, and they call her a traitor when none of them even donned the uniform.

The left is truly evil, and she chose to exist in that dog kennel, and now she's being devoured for not be as rabid as the rest of the pack.

The treatment of Tulsi Gabbard by the leftists is meant to send a message to other democratic candidates.

Get on board with the message of "love and progress" or get crushed.

And looks to me like just one small step away from political terrorism. I'm an ex-muslim, they scare me as I know where that level of fanaticism goes next.

6
Licensetomeme 6 points ago +6 / -0

Political fanaticism can be equally, if not, a more frightening prospect for any country, which is why I find myself sat in the centre. In my mind, though, Trump is no Republican, aka part of the party that has long been used to peddle neocon propaganda for personal gain. In fact, he doesn't fit into either the mainstream left or right.

If being liberal were to be defined as equality and emphasized through freedom and liberty (liberty being the root word of liberal), I'd say he's more aligned to liberalism than these far-left and crony types, ironically enough. What these new idiots on the left don't seem to understand is that liberalism in the recent past meant supporting freedom of speech, free markets, as well as having an anti-interventionist approach to foreign affairs. It's no surprise to me why the guy was a staunch democrat supporter in the past before eventually falling out with the party, likely upon seeing where these crony fucks were headed.

Now, sadly, the left is about authoritarian control, restricted and heavily regulated markets, and even (strangely enough) being pro-conflict. They've jumped the rainbow gilled non-binary shark in their crusade for the so-called greater good.

This was a calculating political move, trying to play both sides to win the "moderate" Democrat vote and maybe some Republicans, too. That's obvious when she says Trump should be removed but let's not do it, so we can heal the country. That's an incoherent position. If you think he's innocent vote NO, not PRESENT. If you think he's guilty, vote YES on the merits of the case. (But the case has no merits, of course, and finding him guilty of non-crimes is an outrage against justice.). So in a way she's earned the flak she's getting from the Dems, and I don't think Republicans should cut her a break, either. By trying to please everyone she's ended up pleasing no one.

Still I agree about the VICIOUS way she's been treated by her party--but that's par for the course with them. And I respect her service to the country. She's the least UN-likeable candidate on the Dem side. But she's still a Dem.

CyclopticErotica 5 points ago +5 / -0

It was the most significant vote of her congressional career and she played the coward's gambit.

4
Selph 4 points ago +4 / -0

To be fair she did vote NO on the first article.

4
NostalgicFuturist 4 points ago +4 / -0

Looks like we were both wrong about the "NO." Apparently she voted "PRESENT" on both Articles.

Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard doubled down Thursday on her decision to vote “present” on two articles of impeachment against President Trump that cleared the House on Wednesday." There were only two, of course.

3
NostalgicFuturist 3 points ago +3 / -0

True. But it only takes one to convict, and the first one is the strongest (or least weak). I don't give her a pass on any of this.

Yeah but she cute tho

1
slimcoat 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's why she'll never survive in the Democratic party!

3
TopKeksWithFrens 3 points ago +5 / -2

Bullshit don't make excuses for that whore who should have voted no but wants to play both sides to the detriment of our country. If you were innocent but being charged for a crime I bet you wouldn't be understanding of a juror who knew you were innocent but wanted to maintain an image so wouldn't vote for your innocence. Stop being so weak minded it's pathetic I see this excuse about calculated move all over this site today. It's faggot behavior and it's weak.

4
PichaiLiedToCongress 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't think the democrats give a shit if she voted "present" or "no".

However she's sending a message to the republicans that she doesn't not want to the president to be impeached, which means she does.

I don't know what her game is.

2
MemeFarmer 2 points ago +3 / -1

It’s just optics bruh. She wants to impress moderate Dems and independent voters.

I'd be very surprised. She's been vocal against hawking since before she was a name. Her anti-war position is like t h e founding stone of her politics as far as I can tell. I am admittedly not up to date though and still in 2017-2018 as far as she is concerned.

7

I'd never vote for Tulsi, but they are giving me more reasons to never vote for a democrat. If you tried force me to vote for a democrat at the point of a gun, I'd eat the lead first at this stage.

7
TrumpsterFire2020 7 points ago +7 / -0

She wanted to be Impartial, all she did was mark herself a traitor to both sides.

7
MehNahMehNah 7 points ago +7 / -0

We know... And it's encouraged.

No 'democrat' candidate is a serious threat to GEOTUS, but agitating the fishtank that is the current state - watching them chase each other and bite off their fins is pretty entertaining.

Tulsi is not/never 'our gal' - she can flirt with undecideds who like an abrasive, sharp tongued persona but in the end she has no political track record to match the president.

Not actually voting for the impeachment was calculated (I believe) to distance herself from the current DNC shitshow.

I'm interested in watching her snipe at BootyJudge.

katsumi27 [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

I can’t watch those debates. I see right through them and it makes me sick.

It makes me sick while we struggle, budget and work hard while they get rich by stealing from us through taxes and insider trading. I’m sick of watching them lie and pander in front of us while behind these scenes they scheme to get more of our money.

They are narcissistic parasites. They only care about power and money. They live off of our misery. The love of money is the root of all evil and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

6
user6395 6 points ago +6 / -0

She acts like someone who wants to have a 60 year Congress career. Oh, like Nancy? That's the strategy of political vermin. Her priority is to look out for Number One, namely herself and her career. Her priority is NOT the well-being of America. As such, she is totally and utterly worthless to our struggle to purge evil from Washington, DC. Congressmen should not be looking at the seat as if it is a lifetime career. You are supposed to fight for America. There is no hope for the Dems. Burn it all down, I say.

The left on Twitter are a true cancer, that was pure evil bile. Obviously we are partisans here but they are in another league. Further, they don't seems to even know anything and haven't once thought for themselves, it's all garbage they have been fed by the media and the Clinton campaign. They are also too dumb to clearly see impeachment is a huge own goal but the left are screaming for it.

I don't care for Tulsi but she made a pragmatic political choice and one that time will be shown to be wise, I get some on the left don't agree with her but those Twitter replies were fucked up.

5
308win 5 points ago +5 / -0

The amount of people who automatically turn to "she is a russian puppet" is ridiculous. The mindset of a liberal is sheer stupid. "Oh Tulsi doesnt agree with me, must be a Russian troll." Russia Russia Russia....the whole thing was bullshit to begin with...and these dumbasses have made it their fucktard war cry like it has any damn weight. And the left frames Republicans as dumb? Yeah...I see your tweeter feeds with Putin all over the place. Logic isnt their strong suite.

Tulsi is very fond of the Pizza fanatic John Podesta, and owes him favors for all the work he did for her seat in congress. I used to have an open mind about her, but she is just as deep as the rest, just playing the black horse better.

3
betterlivinglinux 3 points ago +3 / -0

In Clinton's impeachment, my local rep McHale (a marine), a democrat voted to impeach Clinton on a couple of counts. He ultimately ended up being Bush's assistant secretary of defense....but to the point it pretty much destroyed his career as a democrat.

I disagreed with his politics, but always stood up for him as loyal American, and a worthy person.

Arlen Specter voted present, and he never had my respect, and only once in my voting career did I vote for him. He was always a weasel with perhaps his defense of Justice Thomas being his only saving grace.

3
mightiest_m 3 points ago +3 / -0

I like Tulsi. I don't agree with many of her policies but she seems like a pretty genuine good hearted person who actually cares about America, who'll actually stand up to the DNC bullshit.

Tbh she's helped me redpill some people too.

She's one of the Dems most progressive women of colour - she should be their cover girl - But because she's standing against regime change wars, the military industrial complex and PAC donors, the Dems and the whole mainstream-media completely destroy her and run articles claiming she's a "Russian asset" and "Friends with ruthless dictators" and literally the same bullshit they throw at Trump.

She's living proof of the real reasons behind the media's vendetta against Trump.

3
TopKeksWithFrens 3 points ago +3 / -0

She cares about herself and power just like everyone else and the fact that that she try to play up her service at every turn is disgusting behavior and it's all you need to know

3
Omgwtfbbq 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lots of people accusing her of being a Russian asset. ? She should have voted no. It’s not like she’s running for re-election.

3
magajew 3 points ago +3 / -0

My favorite response:

“ That sounds wonderful, Tulsi. Another thing that sounds wonderful is a magical rainbow unicorn who poops gold and grants wishes to people, which is more likely to be a reality than you getting elected.”

More likely than your magical rainbow unicorn socialist fantasies! (Also more likely than the Dems beating Trump in 2020)

Before going to Twitter, I thought, "there will probably be a lot of white liberals telling a minority how to think."

I was not proven wrong. LOL

2

It made me smile to read those vile comments as they turned on her. What a hateful, vindictive bunch! And they all still buy that Russian stuff.... impossible to take them seriously. Strange, emotionally retarded people.

I think that, regarding Tulsi, there is one thing we can ALL agree on. Heavy pancake makeup is a must.

2

I respect Tulsi. She is a patriot an independent thinker. I also agree with her that we should limit our interventions in other people wars.

2

These people are infuriating. They always pop up, mouthing platitudes. Go away, Mr Gabbard, nobody cares.

Not a very convincing Trojan horse either. You can hear the soldiers sniggering, and sharpening their swords. Not fooled. His one allegedly positive attribute is that he's not as bad as the others. Except, he probably is, and worse.

Oh ok, I'm not sure it's a dude. But I'm also not sure it isn't.

1
BidenSmellsKids 1 point ago +2 / -1

I don't trust her, and I don't give a fuck about anyone's military service unless they were on the front lines and heard the buzzing of bullets over their head. Fuck off with people expecting blind support because you sat at a desk job in the military.

1
NostalgicFuturist 1 point ago +1 / -0

I understand, Pede. I think we all feel that way at times, and we're also all in the same army, fighting for our country. Let's save our fury for the enemy--COLD fury.

1
CancelTheSwamp 1 point ago +1 / -0

We need to have DINO’s on the other side. (Democrat in name only). Based pede’s lurking around the liberal swamp, waiting to sabotage the vote when it really counts, like songbird did to us. Unfortunately most conservatives are too honest for that kind of subterfuge. Maybe Tulsi could be an asset, but I doubt it.

1
Redwallow2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe, she is ready to red pill. She will have to take a far right on some of her views but I can see her with an R by her name in the near future. The left isn't left anymore its a D for Despicable.
