and, a reminder:
Full House never voted to authorize articles of impeachment.
Judiciary Committee never obtained judicial enforcement authority.
So the House has not attempted to enforce subpoenas. They knew they couldn't cite anyone for contempt.
I have also heard the Articles of Impeachment are null and void if not delivered before the New Congress convenes. I don't know about that, but it makes sense.
