God calls us to love one another. However, being Christian does not mean being perfect in God's will. We fall short.
We can hate the actions of another person, and that's OK. But sometimes we let this hate carry over into hating that person, and that is not OK. I frequently fall into this trap, but I still consider myself a Christian. I put my faith in Christ.

Galatians 3:23-29 is talking of the change in spiritual state Due to the acceptance of Christ, Not the Physical state. It can also be a foreshadowing of the State following the last Judgement, when the Chosen attain the heavenly state.
