like everything I find (while relying on several online translators) is just always so positive about Trump and the same for the comment sections. "He's superhuman." "Finally, the American President that world has been waiting for" "It's wonderful to have a u.s. President that did not bow down to the wrongs and pressures of the Democratic Party"
a few western media has taken note but their answers are akin to what they say about Trump supporters in general.

I always considered Vietnamese intelligent people.
I’m an American who is a quarter Vietnamese & who has a lot of my Vietnamese relatives in my hometown & I would agree with Clabber that they are very intelligent people.
Viet Nam Veteran here- with an OPINION of your query. First Communist VietNam is unlike Russian/ Soviet Block version of the system. They follow more the China model, with some variants, since they HATE the Chinese more than anyone I can name. Some context, circa 1969-1970 I listened to the English language radio news from North Viet Nam, which was 'illegal ' for a soldier to do. I found it more honest, more direct, and more accurate that AFVN radio, every time. Flash Forward to 1995. I took a trip back to Viet Nam as a tourist. Every where you looked, you could barely notice any Communist trappings of society, no Banners, no town loudspeakers, none of the 'standard Commie things'. I was free to walk the streets of Hanoi at 0200 hours with no escorts, no armed guards, nothing. I felt safer than I would be in NYC at that hour. Every where you go, people happy, working at something, busy and growing as a nation. If a Westerner got NEAR any college campus, they would be overrun by happy , eager students, trying out there English language skills on you. I recall spending an entire afternoon talking to the students at Hue University. The tour guide had NO PROBLEM with the kink to the scheduled tour. My impression, as a People, they value the work ethic, the education ethic, the family values ethic--all the things that we would call Conservation in the USA. Every VietNamese I spoke to, would like to see the USA, and had nothing but high regard for the Nation- 'color me shocked'! The news is Party Controlled {and so is the USA's} but they are honest in the approach to the news. In 1995 the local TV's English subtitles said a new Coca Cola plant was opening, come and celebrate. We did, as did most of the citizens who could get there. It looked like a Trump Rally Like thee, I still follow the English Language VietNam News via the Internet. I NEVER had ANY luck with the language, spoken or written. My late wife called the language -- 'it sounds like a dozen small birds arguing in a shrub'!
