I wholeheartedly agree, but speaking from a victims standpoint (which I am) I never had any of my medical bills nor lost wages paid back to me from the beating I sustained from 3 men because, and I quote, they were bored. The restitution was part of their sentence.
After they were released from jail they went on their merry ways( all except one, he was later found guilty of murder after beating a man to death the very next night after my beating down) and never a word was said.
So in my opinion, being released from jail does not always mean you have "served" your sentence.
Those guys should still have no right to vote IMO
