I keep putting out cat food on my stoop but for some reason, more and more hungry cats keep showing up.

Which is why I keep putting more and more cat food out side, to reduce the number of hungry cats. But more keep showing up, so maybe we should put some more cat food outside.

FWIW, 4 of us in the homeless shelter in California in January 2016 would always gather round the TV early in the morning and support Trump, who of course at that time was all over the news. He was the news. All of us were over 50, 3 white guys and 1 black woman ( who was convinced Hillary was/is a lesbian.)

The problem is in no way related to "affordable housing" or joblessness. They come to California for the liberal homeless policies. If housing costs were the issue, they'd migrate somewhere cheaper and not Downtown LA or Santa Monica. Bakersfield or San Bernardino would make much more sense for them, if that were the case.

When you get a liberal population and permissive laws on loitering, sidewalk camping, open drug use, and public defecation, you've rolled out the red carpet for homeless people. That's why they are in California and the liberal cities in particular.

If you feed animals they become dependent.
