Bullschiff!! I'm a young person and I taught myself cursive because it's classy and beautiful! It's stretches your mind and looks really professional on all documents and cards.

Yes it is. Also, it is good for fine motor control. Legally, checks are supposed to be signed in cursive.

I really don't care what this person's opinion is. If you can't write in cursive, you are under-educated.
