Fake news. This affects many taxpayers in high tax states, such as myself. I am not high income, but would benefit by several thousand bucks per year if the 10k deduction cap is removed. I am also against this, as my state government isn't something that free state folks should be paying for.

This headline is clickbait and false. Unless I am somehow "the rich." Please do a modest amount of research, rather than doing a brainless dogpile on clickbait.

Not sure which part you think is click bait, let alone false. There is no doubt the democrats passed a SALT cap repeal that will provide a tax cut to primarily high-income earners. I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions, but it's actually the hypocrisy of the democrats position that makes it newsworthy. I would personally love to see you get a tax break. I would rather see it come in the form of lower local property taxes though. Cheers.

Dems being hypocritical is normal. No MSM wil ever call them on it, but we are all used to it. There is plenty of horrible truth without going into grey areas and sensationalism of half truths.

The cap on SALT deductions forced state governments to be accountable for their tax policy to their voters. Nothing about this is targeted toward individuals.

Is it the rich people in blue states (i.e. the main donors to Democrats) are the ones who would benefit the most?

Like you, I would benefit too... but that has nothing to do with the main target of who this is for... Call it collateral damage except in reverse.

This isn't about individuals, it is 100% about forcing low tax states to pay the high state taxes of blue states. If the tax burden is federalized and spread to all taxpayers, state legislators and governors have minimal accountability to their constituents for allowing high taxes.

Can't get a tax cut if you don't pay taxes
