Mr. President. you don't need to"win" any acquittal in the senate via some trial. the senate has sole power to deal with the impeachment, and the supreme court has no jurisdiction. Don't bother trying to win, ask fora hue and cry from the American people NOW to have the senate dismiss the impeachment charges. The only thing to fear, is that the senate will double cross you and impeach.
Ask American patriots now to put up candidates to sweep the entire house and senate out of power upon the next election, and we will do it. Ask us to vote for EVERY candidate who adheres to YOUR platform, and sweep the swamp away,and we will do it. TELL us your preferred successor, and we will fill the gov't with new politicians en mass, one one fell swoop.
