No other explanation for such phenomenal bargain. That's how corrupt people transfer money to each other.
Where exactly in Los Angeles county can anyone rent a single family home for less than $3,000? Not many places, even in the ghettos. Whoever had this thought doesn't know anything about what rent looks like in Los Angeles, especially the Hollywood Hills. $14K may actually be reasonable rent for a fancy $2.5MM home in a gated community like he's living in.
