As usual she's right on the mark, and black Americans are listening to her.

Havent reparations been given out in the form of generational welfare already?

Not to mention that most of the Europeans that immigrated to America would share croppers and settlers. It's a sob narrative to create a victim class of state-dependent voters.

Not the first time Democrats wanted to purchase Black people.

Any reparation would necessarily include repatriation.

Wonder why they always leave that part out?

Reparation time? It must mean an election is coming up.

Go ahead, implement reparations. Fastest way to have a civil war on your hands.

Reparations cannot be taken seriously. No one would ask a country that sacrificed 110,000 lives and spent $6 billion in 1879 dollars to free a population to then give reparations on top of that. No one.

https://www.civilwarhome.com/warcosts.html

In dollars and cents, the U.S. government estimated Jan. 1863 that the war was costing $2.5 million daily. A final official estimate in 1879 totaled $6,190,000,000. The Confederacy spent perhaps $2,099,808,707. By 1906 another $3.3 billion already had been spent by the U.S. government on Northerners' pensions and other veterans' benefits for former Federal soldiers. Southern states and private philanthropy provided benefits to the Confederate veterans. The amount spent on benefits eventually well exceeded the war's original cost.

I don't think actual "reparations" would ever happen. There would be lawsuits on a massive scale. It would be basically impossible to find anyone directly descended 100% from slave owners and also equally basically impossible to find anyone directly descended 100% from slaves.

It would turn into a gimmedat where anyone "identifying" as "an oppressed POC" getting sent a check from the government. So, everyone who pays taxes is assuming the role of owing reparations to a bunch of people who a) weren't slaves b) weren't descended from slaves and c) don't pay taxes anyway.

So, basically, "reparations" won't happen, but the status quo would continue with renewed vigor and add in some pandering.

The Democratic party is the one that supported slavery, and fought against their civil rights all the way to the 1960s. -

but from the # of homeless people in their districts, i see they still support a slave class of underpaid homeless people willing to do any job. slave class is not racial, nowadays-it is economic now. This future outcome was talked about alot in the 1980s.

The thing that killed the Republican Party in the black community was the selection of Barry Goldwater in the ‘64 election as the republican nominee. I saw a documentary recently that kind of identified this root cause of why there’s a lot of distaste IOC republicans in the inner city.

Only because Goldwater didn't like affirmative action, so he opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Most people also seem to conveniently gloss over his support for other civil rights legislation.

Democrats don't care if legitimate descendants of slaves get the money, they'll give it to anyone with a tan to get them votes.

Reparations are the literal enslavement of white people. There is no difference whatsoever.

Head on down to brookings.edu in washington dc, the Fergason and Sanford race baiting lobbyist group that does voter fraud with ACORN on the side. K-Street address maybe, Ivy League think tanks definitely. British Tea drinking Redcoats.

Soo, does that mean they will seek out descendants of free blacks who owned black slaves? You know before there were black slaves, there were white slaves. Do they get reparations also? It's all BS, but if we're counting here.

I judge people individually by the content of their character and their behavior, not by the color of their skin.

I will never under any circumstances pay a single dollar to fund reparations to any racial group. Don’t care what laws are passed , it’s not going to happen, ever.

I support reparations — starting with the families of fallen Union Soldiers.

K-Harbour 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is ok to tax and charge the democrat party for the cost of repatriations.
