I'm not really sure what purpose it serves to split our strength between here and there, other than the usual Divide et Impera. We bitched and moaned about how much we needed a forum of our own, and were so thrilled to get it, finally. And now, it seems like those stuck in the abusive relationship at reddit are too timid to just walk away. I just don't get it.
The crew over at Reddit still view it as a place to redpill normies, even though Reddit has modified the site to isolate T_D, and even though the entire site is nothing but astroturfing sockpuppets.
"The classical attack of the Zulu is in the shape of a fighting bull buffalo. The head... the horns... and the loins. First the head moves forward. The enemy naturally moves in to meet it. But it is only a feint. The warriors in the head then disperse to form the encircling horns and the enemy is drawn in on the loins. And then the horns close in on the back and sides. Finish. It's jolly deadly."
I think the OP may have something there; Reddit knows that if T_D is shut down, there go 700k (the official figure) regular users/posters and their advertising revenue. The quarantine keeps T_D from overtly influencing the rest of Reddit (which they credit with affecting the election of 2016) while keeping the $$$ flowing in. That's my theory, anyway.
I still often use the reddit site for the_donald and don't have the issue of seeing quarantine messages. I think I've seen one only when actually making it a favorite.
I go to both. /r/the_donald is still my primary, but I still am here everyday and I know one day Reddit is going to ban it so this will become my primary.
It's like church. You have those who attend every service, potluck dinner and maybe even host the occasional missionary, then you got the casuals that pop in for weddings, funerals, christenings, Easter and Christmas.
Ah, I see what you're getting at. I assumed you were mostly depriving them of the ad revenue, but it's also to prevent them from tracking you. Makes sense. Thanks for the follow up.

Maybe promote this site more on t_d?
Even better, drop the link to thedonald.win at other conservative forums.

He who would surrender freedom for security, deserves neither.
I'll take fewer numbers in exchange for a lighter leash. This is a war effort after all.

Just got a 7 day site wide ban from that shithole. No reason. No explanation. Fuck reddit.
So? I don't see that as a negative. I suspect Spez will use this site as the reason to ban T_D.

I use the "old" interface.
Yes, absolutely.

Is there really 700,000 followers on reddit?
Doubtful. If they were real, they would start to inhabit both places, but that's not what happened.

Is there a benefit to your approach over using a privacy plugin like Privacy Badger?

No, Reddit users with Stockholm Syndrome are!
