Go ahead and search for that exact phrase. This is literally one of the PRIME reasons to own a weapon, what the hell is wrong with them?
A subject is state property.
It is up to the state to decide if and when that subject is protected.
The subject exists at the pleasure of the state.
Subjects deemed especially useful to the state will be protected.
The death of an unprotected subject is no great loss or concern.
In Maryland it's nigh impossible to get a CCP. General protection of self and others is not considered a "good and substantial" reason. So we either put ourselves at risk and obey the law and only have an approved kind of firearm in places we're legally allowed to (home, range, gunsmith), or we choose to be a criminal to carry the tools that we need to protect ourselves.
