I think personally our Earths always in a flux of changes from various elements the main driver being our sun cycles. I don't mind alternative energy or trying to make a process less absurd and more clean / simple. I've seen for a long time now the push for climate change, global warming ect as a means to just push an agenda to control and garner more power and money into those who have the most to gain.
