"It just breaks my heart when I hear about a venture capitalist that gives a young person with an idea a load of money and directs them towards a pivot. That pivot is just changing their original idea into a cheapened way to sell the business a few years down the road."

lol, Vice magazine.

If this movement slides back into early 00's GOP talking points...instead of looking for new, creative ways to address problems that most Americans care about...expect early 00's election results for the GOP.

And, I'll be here, as usual, to say, "told you so, dumbasses. any fool could've told you the same." :)

All I know is that making money here in Dollarland is literally the most important thing in my life. "Greed is good" is why we're closing the border instead of opening it wide for cheap labor, donchaknow! Would literally knife my grandmother in the back for a tenner. Not even a joke. As soon as I see the words "corporate" and "greed" together, in a sentence. I get ma gun and start shootin. Ain't no commie gonna lecture me on my dead grandmother, by God. *spits*

The more shit I see like this, the more MAGA really warms my heart. Say to myself, "self! now here's a message with which I can sell Trump to my family, to people struggling to get by and to just about every regular red-blooded American who pays bills and isn't a Wall Street snow-blowing stripper-addicted sleezeball. Jesus Christ, people. Get a hold of yourselves.

You people are all missing the point. It's not corporate (government propped up) capitalism vs socialist (government propped up) communism.

Wow I think about this topic every time I go to the Farmer's Market. Usually the products I get tend to be healthier, better tasting, and the pricing is competitive to the larger corporate markets. If I had the choice I would prefer to use smaller businesses purely based on product quality and price. Usually there's a ton of legislation that make an already difficult task of running a small business even that much more difficult.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_capitalism

"If you make your users rich, they'll come back. If you make them poor, you've killed your marketplace.", the communist, Douglas Rushkoff.

"Urmhurr hrurr hurr. I see a title like that there and I just shoot off ten posts about communism. Hurr hurr.", some mouth breather online.

OP, good video. Thanks for posting and please keep it up! oi oi oi!

Very true. I have been watching the process for a while. it's sad to see local mom n pop shops go out of business and be replaced by a corporation. Customer service seems to get replaced by cheap ignorance.

And? Are you incapable of reading or listening to something you disagree with and still finding value in it?

2
BigMemeHunter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. Yes they are. In fact, I doubt very seriously if they even watched. No, easier just to see a title and assume they know the whole story.

Greed is a great thing and totally a Christian value and blah blah blah. Here, let me get my 5 other puppets to agree with me and this will really change the world for the better! Corporations pay taxes! I bet you didn't know that!! lmfagagooga

So, you judged the video from the title and decided to shoot off a comment condemning it.

Well done. And they say politics is filled with idiots. Boy, were they ever wrong!

I watched it, but stopped at 8 minutes or so. Wasn’t anything I haven’t heard before. My response to Captain was based on a satirical cartoon. Not sure if you know that or not.

“It’s the corporations, being all corporationy”

Edit: This is a south park reference for those who haven’t heard it before.

I always tell people their is no Red Cross Shingle on my business. I am there to make as much money as I can. Corp are the same way. Anytime anyone has a problem with Corp Greed they are actually saying they are Socialist Commies.

I get heat on this site when I tell people just how much corporations actually pay in taxes. It’s like they don’t have a clue as to the inner workings of a business. Even explaining the double down I pay on my employees SS and Medicare seems to go in one ear and out the other.
