Now, however, we have become energy independent and don’t need to have the same presence. This is specifically why the situation has changed. Now that we have no true interest in the region, our lack of presence is allowing the region to destabilize. At this point you must know there will never be a time when we become disengaged from any part of the world. The global economy is never going to be something we escape. War and instability is the last thing an investor wants to see. If Trump were to be indecisive or apprehensive in how he handles threats it would also add to confusion of what the future holds.
