I am not military, but it feels to me like there has been a shift towards maintaining peace rather than using weapons for chaos and destruction, and that this shift is occurring due to the mentality from the very top. I like it.

The irony (to me) is that the flares pretty much said "we will turn you into glass and ash, fuckers"
