How did a NYT reporter know about the attack beforehand? Failing to connect those dots especially with the way Trump has been holding information until after to prevent the swamp from leaking it.
I don't think he's cleaned out the swamp closest to him yet. Some guys must still be there playing a dangerous game. Someone must have shown him this by now and one thing he has been good at it is getting people to expose themselves.
Or, someones still spying on him (cia?) and they listened in on the planning.
Funny thing is, just as reporter said, it doesn't matter that they know they're targeted, you just need their location once and the missile is more or less unstoppable. Even if he took this as a warning, would likely still have died. Heck maybe he even did !
The night before the attack on pearl harbor, a Hawaiian radio dj announced that there was a Red Storm Rising from the East. As it turned out, there was no actual weather storm. It was a coded message for Japanese operatives on the island. I can't remember what the US did to the radio dj / Japanese operative who passed along the "Red Storm Rising" message. I tried to google it, but all I get are Tom Clancy results.
unpopular opinion: Americans rode into France and then Germany and fought a few scattered young Germans who barely knew how to fight, they were thrown flowers and goods by beautiful women, Americans encountered almost no resistance but American people were sold propaganda of heroic American soldiers, meanwhile on the western front, Russians were being shot for retreating, fighting in the snow, outnumbered and dying in the millions, AND WON.
And they would NOT have won if they didn't have the Americans sapping German strength by forcing the Germans to fight on their Western front.
Those of us who grew up with those GIs as our fathers heard their tales from Kasserine to Sicily to Bastogne and the Bulge. They told us their stories, NOT just Hollywood and government propagandists. We learned about those battles from the very men who fought them. They told us in books like Goodbye Darkness, The Thin Red Line and Guadalcanal Diaries -- uh, yeah btw, WE were fighting on TWO FRONTS . . . AND WON!
The Russians lost millions because Stalin killed almost as many of them as the Germans! We had mine detectors; Stalin used men as detectors -- he'd clear minefields by marching his soldiers through them! Those poor Russians were fighting, not on two fronts, but two governments -- the Germans and their own!
So, I won't minimize Stalingrad and Kursk. I'd appreciate it if they don't minimize Kasserine, Sicily, Normandy, the Ardennes, Midway, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
My uncle told me this story only once, but I've never forgotten it. He was anchored at Pearl on board one of about eight LSTs. Around midnight or so, they rec'd orders to put out to sea to do something -- he never said what -- leaving the other seven LSTs behind at anchor. Later that night (wee hours), a saboteur -- a Hawaiian of Japanese descent -- set off a string of explosions, sinking all seven boats, killing everyone on board. He never got over it, and I'm sure that's why he only told me once, when I was ten or so.
He said, there was a reason for the Japanese internment camps; he didn't say it was right, but that internment didn't come out of nowhere, and he was lucky to be alive to have an opinion about it.
The White House National Security Council is sharply downsizing 'in a bid to improve efficiency' by consolidating positions and cutting staff, according to the Washington Times - which adds that a secondary, unspoken objective (i.e. the entire reason) for the cuts is to address nonstop leaks that have plagued the Trump administration for nearly three years.
The reform is being led by National Security Adviser Robert C. O'Brien, who told the Times that 40-45 NSC staff officials had been sent back to their home-agencies, and more are likely to be moved out.
"We remain on track to meeting the right-sizing goal Ambassador O’Brien outlined in October, and in fact may exceed that target by drawing down even more positions," said NSC spokesman John Ullyot.
Under Obama, the NSC ballooned to as many as 450 people - and officials wielded 'enormous power' according to the report, directly telephoning commanders in Afghanistan and other locations in the Middle East to give them direct orders in violation of the military's strict chain of command.
“When they return to the Department of State, or Defense, or Homeland Security, they will be better Foreign Service officers, better military officers, better Homeland Security officials because they spent time here at the White House,” he said. “We are all serving here for a relatively short period of time. The NSC should not be a career position. That is not how it was designed, and that is not how we are going to operate it.”
Like many other people, Soleimani apparently no longer read the NYT or believed them.
Underrated comment. If we did a comment of the day, I'd have to vote for this so far.
HAHA!
Treason?
They have done plenty to show their colors, but this is, to quote Iranian leaders "one foot over the red line"

Wow! That sure does look like a warning.

unpopular opinion: FDR knew about the Jap's plans and let it happen so he could get the war he wanted

Just sayin'.

Good find well done
Busted. That was a warning. I hope more info on this surfaces because that was dangerously obvious.
What if the author actually works for the CIA and is a part of the cabal?
