The truth is, they dont care about anything. They dont stand for anything. The only thing they want is power. Every outrage, or lack of outrage, isnt done out of some moral compass they find in themselves. There is no right or wrong to them. It is only used as a tool to get what they so desperately seek, more power.
Also the big difference is Trump authorized this as a direct response to the threat posed to our embassy, by a country/influence from outside of the country the embassy was located.
