I might be in the minority but when I heard the news I was hoping it was true and we were leaving. The Iraqi government has been in the backpocket of Iran for years and only keeps us around to take our billions. If we need to keep a base or two there to operate drones out of I'd be okay with that but as far as continuing to train Iraqis or going out on patrols with them or anything that puts our troops at enormous risk for no good reason, I hope there's no more of that.
I completely agree with you. And yes, I was really hoping we were pulling out. Maybe we still will, at least we have a President who is a strategic thinker as well as a hard hitter.
