This just shows Trumps sanctions are working. They're lashing out in desperation. You're watching the regime in their death throes do whatever they can to stop the inevitable dismemberment by an Iranian mob.
Iraqi parliament bill to kick our troops out of Iraq;
This was a coordinated set-up to screw over Trump. That's why Nancy sitting on Impeachment. She was waiting for Trump to have a Jimmy Carter Embassy Hostage situation then present the impeachment to the Senate.
Problem is, Trump knew the Iraqi Parliament had already drawn up the bill to kick the troops out. He had extra forces, waiting to provide support to the Embassy.
So, the plan was:
prepare bill to kick troops out
storm Embassy & take hostages
paralyze Trump (can't move while hostages alive in Embassy)
Iraqi Paraliament passes the already prepared bill to kick US troops out
Forces Trump to either remain paralyzed (a la Jimmy Carter) or essentially declare war on Iraq to move troops to retake the Embassy
Pelosi presents articles of impeachment to Senate
Romney strong arms ~15 Senators to force Trump out of office
But, it played out differently:
prepare bill to kick troops out
storm Embassy & take hostages
In minutes, Trump has overwhelming force regain control of Embassy
3A) Trump uses last hours of our authorization to be in Iraq to take out key Iranian leaders
Iraqi Paraliament passes the already prepared bill to kick US troops out
Trump celebrates getting Troops out of Iraq
Pelosi stuck with useless articles of impeachment, goes on a drinking binge
Of course it was planned. Is about to tie Trump in a serious external conflict for the whole 2020 and exploit the situation 24/7. If he's going out of Iraq, Iran will flood Westward (they already killed 1000 Iraqi protesters and injured many more) and they'll paint Trump as weak. If he stays and retaliate, they'll push the warmonger narrative and start counting coffins daily.
Today, finally, they bury General Salami. Happening now as the attacks are ongoing. But it shows Iran does not have the appetite for a full confrontation. They need to save face and they almost beg Trump to accept this attack outcome and not retaliate. But they did attack from INSIDE Iran, which is bad for them.
CNN right now is surprisingly moderate, a jab or two at Trump but in general downplay Iranian attack like a face-saving, deliberately imprecise attack.
There is definitely some kind of scheming going on with the left, as always, John Kerry isn't meeting those Iranian fools for no reason.
But for some reason, I think Trump is in control here. I just have this sneaking suspicion that the military is with him, and they are hatching something that even the MSM liberals and the deep state don't know about.
I think we're going to see regime change in Iran, and that it will be relatively bloodless when all is said and done.
It's a theory but as they say, there are no coincidences. Ask yourself why John Kerry has met with the Iranians multiple times behind the administration's back?
If our troops remain unharmed from this, I would hope things can deescalate from here. An impotent attack that kills or injures no Americans is a weak thing indeed.
Because not everyone is willing to fight for their freedom. Dicks Fight for their freedom. Pussies dont. And Asshoes, like China and Islam, try and take freedom away from the Dicks and Pussies
What, like fake missiles? Or warning shots? a) I don't think their missile technology has progressed enough for warning shots. b). why fire dozens(?) of missiles if you only want to warn
Iran is at war with us. It is about time we realize that.
They have an honor based culture. They feel obligated to respond as not to appear weak. Firing a bunch of missiles that don't kill any Americans and do no significant damage to the base is a way to say they responded and got the last hit. They can then spin it internally as "we showed America, Iran is strong!" without baiting a true response from America, who could easily level them.
Remember George W. actually believed Saddam had nukes. He refused to deny it and pretended he had WMDs, because he needed to appear strong to maintain his hold on power. The CIA and the hawks around George W used that to get the war they wanted.
If the twitter photos of the Iranian missile launches are actually from tonight, it appears they are firing Zolfaghar SRBM's: About 700km range, 450kg maximum warhead.
I wasn't sure exactly how far out the attacks were taking place. I'd only heard of Iraq bases hit, but wasn't sure if others elsewhere were being targeted. Thank you for the response.
Take out the only weapons they value. Their nuke program, with standoff weapons. No invasion. De-nut them and their protesters might finish off that decrepit, hated leadership for us.
This will be interesting. Other articles report civilian casualties, but no US casualties reported. So it sounds like they just killed some Iraqi civilians. Reports tend to be unreliable at this point so the 6 casualties could be misreported. We'll have to wait and see.
I see an option to do nothing. Let Iran feel like they got the last hit in and when Iraq is outraged point out that they are asking us to leave and do not seem to like us interfering on their behalf. Then if Iran continues after this, obliterate them. Gives an opportunity to have Iraq get pissed at Iran and get better political positioning on the global stage. The rockets had little impact, so they probably missed for the most part. That is common with rocket attacks. Could be a good play which allows for some deescalation if Iran takes it. Essentially a one time free pass because their attack failed.
On the other hand, Trump does like to do what he says. He may retaliate by just blowing some Iranian cultural site up with no casualties.
This guy, right here. YOU win. You've captured the strategy needed.
Pretty sure when he said "cultural sites" he meant the nuclear sites. The Ayatollah said that the nuclear research was part of Iranian culture now a few weeks back. Everyone seems to be missing this.
Trump referenced the Iranian cultural sites because he knows that is where Iranian terrorists are operating out of. It is against treaties to attack cultural sites unless there is a military reason to do so. That tweet was trump letting Iran know that he knows and that he’s willing to strike.
So far no American casualties reported. The bases were hardened and were being prepared for this since the decision to take out Soleimani. In other words this was expected.
It appears to be a Irag Shite base and a Kurdish base, second wave incoming at this writing. Those bases are interesting choices politically, so far no reports of US casualties. No attacks on Israel.
I have to wonder, the regular joe Iranian soldiers(not the hardline guys giving the orders) running these missile sites, do you think they know they are about to get smoked? Do they welcome it as some kind glorious jihad death or are they just wishing it was another boring night and were hoping to get some falafel later? Why would you do this when President Trump is in office? He's already dropped the MOAB once, they have to know this.
Kerry has been meeting in the background with iran (he should be arrested on the Logan Act). Get iran to instigate attacks, we retaliate for protection of our military, Dems talking points "see, trump is starting another mid-east war" and they think that will loose Trump's base for the upcoming election. Just another front of the same election attack as the Mueller hoax and then the Congress impeachment lite.
The dems cries of AnoThEr MiD eAst WAr Reeeeeeeeee would carry more weight if we didn't just come out of 8 years of them cheering on Obama's attempts with Libya and Syria. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what Assad did to bring about the fury of the US. It's like one day he was a pretty cool youngish ruler having pictures taken with western leaders and diplomats, and the next day he was evil dictator. At least with Sadam they ramped it up over 12 years.
Now the same people that were cheering to take out Assad are acting like Iran didn't do nuffin and meany Trump is instigating them. Like the past 40 years never happened. Fucking crazy
This is all just a chess move. Trump's intention is to wipe out Iran's leaders and military and it's not because they attacked our troops. Them attacking was the chess move Iran played, even though Trump really left them no other option. Iran isn't going to be laughed at and threatened and Trump knew it, so he poked them until they attacked. It's a good strategy and he set it up nicely by allowing the non-fatal attacks. Trump is a business man and he isn't going to make a mistake. Especially, now that he can finally run the world's largest business. There's always a larger agenda and it always has something to do with the economy.
No Americans were injured. Seems like a weak response. My guess is it’s a taunt to lure us into a bigger conflict. The US is sick of war in the Middle East and Trump knows this. I really hope we choose to de-escalate.
I really think we should just let them slink away with their so called "pride" eventually the masses will cease to wish to be ruled by a regime that kills them. We gotta play for the long haul here. If they kill Americans directly then we can their ass other than that who cares about a country that wants to kick us out when we're the only thing protecting them from getting butt fucked. In the end we should let them just chicken the fuck out from doing any actual damage and as soon as they do some real shit then we fuck them.
As a frequent flyer I can confirm that things got interesting TSA wise, the week after Thanksgiving in some smaller international airports. So interesting in fact that AA typically dicked two handfuls of CONUS destination departures held upless than 5 minutes to the gate before departure, by tsa craziness. Similar stories from gate workers about other times and places with same TSA gnarls.
I see they're already begging for deescalation after they've gotten their "revenge."
Who wants to bet this whole attack was a way for them to destroy some property but not hurt any Americans so they can save face with their own party while simultaneously not getting blown back into the stone age by us?
The Dems are probably offering pallets of cash to the Iranians if they can get Trump to start a war. No matter what Iran does, the Dems will have their back and always blame Trump. Wouldn't be surprised if the Dems asked Iran to shoot those rockets today.
You gotta wonder if this is something Israel wants (i.e. antagonism with Muslim neighbors helps the current regime) or if this is something Israel does not want.
If this is something Israel does not want, I am surprised that it has made it to this point. Therefore, this must be something Israel wanted to have happen, and we can rely on their capacity to work with the U.S. to destroy countries and opponents. Possibly, maybe, perhaps, this is something that has been planned for months or years in advance.
How does this hurt Donald Trump? How does this threat compare to threats U.S. forces have faced for over 15 years now in our engagements in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Mali, Niger, etc.?
This could also be the result of collusion between Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, liberal college professors, Buzzfeed and New York Times editors.
Considering Israel didn't attack Iraq after the Scuds in '91, I don't think they're going to get terribly involved unless an invasion comes. I don't think Russia and China are involved much either as I'm willing to bet Iran has played a part in both countries' problems with Islam. They're just happy to let the US bear whatever burden comes with dealing with Iran instead of them.
They just shot down a Ukrainian 737. Some stupid fuck with an itchy trigger finger. As usual, they failed to get us but killed a shitload of their own doing it.
Iran was very wise in their retaliation. If they had killed Americans I would think that would give Trump cause to vaporize all of their nuke facilities and then leave the region. Their limp wristed response has put the GEOTUS in a position that if he whacks the nuke facilities he looks like he is over reacting . The nuclear capability is the goal.
What in the world are these idiots thinking? They hit the bases where coalition troops are? The same coalition that had cold feet the other day? Then they also kill Iraqi's AND then want to fire into Israel? This is the worst tactical response they could have EVER came up with. Like it's so terribly bad that Adolf would have looked at that response and said "nah, engaging the USSR on a second front was a better decision". Like are these people completely nuts?
Thankfully and luckily (for Iran) there were no dead Americans only Iraqi's (as current reports state). There is still time to call this whole turning your nation into a dust bowl thing you have going on here.
Iran playing like they didn't start these shenanigans. Their government like most in the region is helmed by emotional children. Can't blame 'em, it's the best they can ever be with a bunch of fundamentalists running the show.
"Ya done messed up, I-Iran!"
This just shows Trumps sanctions are working. They're lashing out in desperation. You're watching the regime in their death throes do whatever they can to stop the inevitable dismemberment by an Iranian mob.
No American casualties. Let's hope it is an attempt to lure us into a greater conflict.
I don't know what the solution is but I hope Trump does. I'll be praying for the troops and our country tonight.
This is most likely true
Remember this is all set up to get Trump out of office. This was planned. Things are not what they seem.
Iraqi parliament bill to kick our troops out of Iraq; This was a coordinated set-up to screw over Trump. That's why Nancy sitting on Impeachment. Problem is, Trump knew the Iraqi Parliament had already drawn up the bill to kick the troops out. He had extra forces, waiting to provide support to the Embassy. So, the plan was:
under-rated post right here, pede.
Jesus christ I'd like to see a movie about this shit in 10 years.
Formerly General Salami, presently General Minced Meat.
I'll also accept Gen. Shredded Beef.
There will be no protracted war. Even if there is "A" war it will be over as fast as it starts.
Yeah, and Congress is just gonna sit on their hands?
Who are the traitors now?
sigh I guess cooler heads will prevail if none of our people are hurt.
Then Iran can return to it's self-inflicted implosion. We don't need to invade like W Bush did Iraq.
Where are you reading this was planned? I'd like to share it with a few people.
It's a theory but as they say, there are no coincidences. Ask yourself why John Kerry has met with the Iranians multiple times behind the administration's back?
They doubled down with a second missile attack.
Further instigation.
Not "retaliation"--that's fake news from Fox
Fox is fucking schizoid right now
Fux News
I'm glad this shit is going down now, sooner rather than later... because the longer we wait, the closer Iran gets to building nukes.
This is another Bathhouse Barry mess that President Trump has to clean up.
I wonder if Obongo and Kerry chose the time, in an attempt to interfere with the 2020 elections?
Peace is the prize.
Bathhouse === Benghazi
If they shoot missiles into an empty field and talk shit then ok. If they fuck with our guys they need to die.
If it’s just an empty field we should have already taken out the launchers. Fuck that shit.
no casualties, and 12 missiles with no injuries is all they could muster to avenge their top general? If you ask me it makes them look scared.
I agree, but we should wipe out the launch point(s).
Space Force likely saw the launch point(s)
Time for a disproportionate response.
And we got a big dick for the measuring contest.
If our troops remain unharmed from this, I would hope things can deescalate from here. An impotent attack that kills or injures no Americans is a weak thing indeed.
His line is a real line and if they kill any Americans they will pay dearly. Iranians need to rise up and take back their country. This is the time.
Iran secret police and torture houses are a real threat
Because not everyone is willing to fight for their freedom. Dicks Fight for their freedom. Pussies dont. And Asshoes, like China and Islam, try and take freedom away from the Dicks and Pussies
And pussies dont like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks... but dicks also fuck assholes!
It's easy to talk big when you are part of the USA and there is no threat the secret police will raid your house.
Unless you live in virginia
So far only heard of Iraqi casualties but not sure yet
Rumors of the Iranians launching jets. Likely because the missiles were repulsed and martyring F8 pilots to F22s is the plan???
The US doesn't just have air superiority, it has total air dominance. If Iran crosses the border with jets, not a single one will make it home.
My guess is this was a face-saving gesture and we'll find the missiles were more bark than bite. We shall know for sure soon enough.
What, like fake missiles? Or warning shots? a) I don't think their missile technology has progressed enough for warning shots. b). why fire dozens(?) of missiles if you only want to warn
Iran is at war with us. It is about time we realize that.

Except WMDs were found, Wikileaks showed us that much. The story was never only about nukes.
https://warlogs.wikileaks.org/id/7726706C-22D1-404B-B73C-5BB9F23BD1ED/
That's great. But fuck boy Bush never even defended his own decision. Bush was Reagan's biggest mistake.
If the twitter photos of the Iranian missile launches are actually from tonight, it appears they are firing Zolfaghar SRBM's: About 700km range, 450kg maximum warhead.
Not fake missiles. Missiles with capability and payloads unlikely to do any serious damage and with a high chance of interception.
We will be at war if they fire cruise missiles at US ships, or cross any borders. Until then it's just fire for effect.
.ost of us have k own
F4 Phantoms? Oh what will we do against those?
Lose a drag race, that's about it.
Yeah...... hit a couple airbases where we stationed, from what I've read.
shouldna dunnit
One of my best friends is an Airforce pilot stationed in Bagram. Is there any indication that the base there has been attacked at all??
He's safe. Bagram is in Afghanistan. Don't worry.
I wasn't sure exactly how far out the attacks were taking place. I'd only heard of Iraq bases hit, but wasn't sure if others elsewhere were being targeted. Thank you for the response.
Obviously we need to respond, but how does this play out without a full blown war? Can it?
If there are no American casualties, it can possibly deescalate.
Let’s not forget the time we “removed” an entire Iranian offshore oil platform. Iran could not muster an retaliation.
Take out the only weapons they value. Their nuke program, with standoff weapons. No invasion. De-nut them and their protesters might finish off that decrepit, hated leadership for us.
Agreed. If we can descalate and they can slink away with their "pride" I think it's fine. Any dead Americans, though. That's a different story.
Thankfully there were no Americans injured. I pray this deescalates and they can meet at the negotiating table.
If Iran stops attacking us. It's up to them whether or not to continue this war.
This will be interesting. Other articles report civilian casualties, but no US casualties reported. So it sounds like they just killed some Iraqi civilians. Reports tend to be unreliable at this point so the 6 casualties could be misreported. We'll have to wait and see.

Yes. If it comes down to it. They rebuilt London and Berlin.
Pray for our military.
Are our Troops okay? No one was hurt?
Time to go Judge Dredd on their butts if there are any casualties or injuries!
So far no American casualties reported. The bases were hardened and were being prepared for this since the decision to take out Soleimani. In other words this was expected.
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear it!
Time to Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran.
Too late to explore the seas. Too early to explore the stars. Just in time to enjoy popcorn.
Are you too familiar with Paul Shanklin?
It appears to be a Irag Shite base and a Kurdish base, second wave incoming at this writing. Those bases are interesting choices politically, so far no reports of US casualties. No attacks on Israel.

I'm betting the guys running the missile sites are a little more friendly towards the regime than the average infantryman.
This appears to be symbolic face-saving that doesn't hurt Americans (God willing!). If so, Trump doctrine is to let it go.
Kerry has been meeting in the background with iran (he should be arrested on the Logan Act). GLASS THEM!
Fucking Iran. I dont want us to be in war in the middle east anymore, but they are sure trying to force us.
But if there is anyone I want to be president for it, it's President Trump.
This is all just a chess move. Trump's intention is to wipe out Iran's leaders and military and it's not because they attacked our troops. EDIT: words
Doesn’t Iran happen to supply China with a certain amount of crude oil?
No Americans were injured. Seems like a weak response. My guess is it’s a taunt to lure us into a bigger conflict. The US is sick of war in the Middle East and Trump knows this. I really hope we choose to de-escalate.
Are there any US troops still in Bagdad? This news stated they were gone this morning. ?? Could it be that the Iranians are attacking empty bases??
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/01/07/tuesday-morning-news-briefingus-troops-pulled-baghdad/
They can play in their sandbox all they want. The problem is they keep exporting terrorism to other countries.
Leaving them alone, means more terrorism exported.

Now we get to see which 52 targets get hit. I'll take supreme leader's headquarters and the oil refineries in the pool.
Muh cultural sites!
That's code for nuclear sites. The Ayatollah said that pursuing nuclear weapons is part of the Iranian culture.

Let's give them a taste of their own medicine. Plus we need to destroy their nuclear labs that they are working.
Seems like they missed everything. Are their Chinese missiles that bad?
This just seemed like doing something for propaganda purposes. Did you see those losers used pictures from 2017?
How much does John Kerry know about this?
