My parents lived in Alaska, and said the same - the cold forced them to eat a high-fat diet in order to survive.

I've read that Eskimos, who eat virtually nothing but fat and protein, generally have almost no dental cavities, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, or depression. Their teeth wear down from using them as tools, and they die in their 50s from running their body furnace faster to keep warm, but that's the tradeoff.

Yep, Alaskan Akutaq common recipe: snow, bear fat or seal fat, mashed with blueberries. The body needs a high animal fat diet to trudge through the ice and snow. Peanuts and broccoli won’t cut it.

THanks for saying what I was going to go all scientific and boring about.

Just this: Each primate reading this is physically optimized to metabolize the healthy saturated fat (mostly) and complete proteins of other animals.

"Transvoria" isn't a thing

Not at all. Read the Presidential Advisory on Saturated Fat from the AHA. Even from plants the genetically identical Chinese in Singapore have more heart disease than those in Hong Kong due to the tropical oils high in SFA. You can follow it through the body. Majority of people your advice is deadly

Majority of people your advice is deadly

Just the opposite.

Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the US, yet the criminals at the American Heart Association have been pimping the idiotic "food pyramid" and a high-carb, low-fat diet for 40 years. Coincidentally 40 years ago the incidence of a whole raft of inflammatory diseases including diabetes was a lot lower than today.

Science says the human body requires essential fatty acids from the diet, and essential amino acids (building blocks of proteins) from the diet. Very few vegans get sufficient amounts of these essential molecules on a daily basis.

Science also says there's no such thing as an "essential carbohydrate." You don't need any carbohydrates in the diet to live a healthy life.

Your advice to eat them is deadly.

Why? Sugar molecules are irritants to the vascular endothelial lining. They cause inflammation. They also cause the release of insulin, another irritant to the blood vessels. When they rip tiny lesions in the vessels, the body sends a cholesterol plug to patch it up.

Cholesterol is the hero, not the villain.

It's made in every cell of the body, and if you try to squelch it with Big Pharma's favorite toys, the body makes more. It's a fool's errand designed to keep you on 2-3 prescriptions for life, while they still continue to shove the fucking pyramid up your ass.

Insulin is also the FAT-STORAGE hormone and the APPETITE-STIMULATING hormone. It blocks signals of satiety coming from the stomach, telling you to stop stuffing your face. So if you want to store more body fat and keep being hungry, eat carbs.

Eating saturated fat, conversely, trains the body to burn fat AND shuts off the appetite. It's the best appetite suppressant there is, next to watching impeachment hearings.

If two people happen to read the truths I'm sharing here and elsewhere and decide to go keto or low carb and don't die of diabetes like everyone else in their family did, then my advice is saving lives, not killing them.

Rent a clue.

When the body goes make the mind a weapon.

The article says they were effected by fluid build up in the brain and lungs, is that a dietary issue?

It's all about the organ meats for carnivores. The liver is nature's multivitamin.

The liver is nature's multivitamin.

Yes, but rather scary given the diets of modern factory farming.

I've had side-by-side liver of factory-farmed chickens and naturally raised chickens that eat lots of bugs.

The factory-farmed livers are disgusting. The naturally raised liver is as good as foi-gras without the spendy prices.

So scurvy is actually caused by traveling...

In the old days, most certainly so, because you couldn't eat healthy fresh meat and organs while traveling. They don't preserve well.

There's a reason British sailors are called "Limeys".

Conservative movement is bound for extinction with the level of nutrition knowledge, only matched by the utter stupidity of the liberals who don’t procreate any more for the environment. I am going to do my best to help...
