Honestly, I was a veg for 15 years and I was just as strong as I am now. Way more healthy, but I stopped giving a shit about what I eat. Did gain a ton of weight from eating meat tho. That was the only change in diet and I gained 100 lbs. Was a fat cunt for a long time.

Count your calories (and macros) and excercise, and you wont get fat.

Great way to constantly be hungry: Do two things that make the body hungry. Exercise, and restrict calorie intake.

That advice is why diets uniformly don't work, and when people regain the weight they gain a little extra.

Exercise is good. But the thing to count isn't calories as much as CARBS. If you eat mainly fat, followed by protein, you won't need to count calories. You'll feel full and stop eating before they become a problem.

That said, you can overdo it by overeating. The trick is to eat very few carbs, eat what you like of the fat and protein groups, and stop when you're pleasantly full, not stuffed.

Unless they do it 2-3 hours a day, exercise won't make a person lose weight if they eat the food pyramid style of loading up on carbs. They'll just be sweaty, fat, and hungry. Even marathon runners can be pre-diabetic if they eat too many carbs. One was on the cover of Runner's World three times, can't recall his name but he did the (formerly free) Carb Loaded video that you now have to PAY for on youtube (boo).

Worth it for your life, but anyway

Fat and protein are essential, carbs are not. So, enjoy life, and understand any time you tire of the spare tire from the fat-storage hormone, insulin, the power is in your hands. Calories = 70% fat, 25%-30% protein, 0-5% carbs. Get ready to buy new smaller clothes.

You'll thank me later, trust me (the anonymous internet account :)
