Actually, I retract that. I just realized from my own personal experiences with ketosis while I had a couple significant unhealed wounds that there is one enormous difference in the body between a carb diet, and a protein/animal fat diet. Your body responds to infection and injury with much more swelling and fluid buildup when you are eating carbs.

She died due to swelling on her brain, her husband nearly died due to swelling in his lungs. If they had both been in ketosis, the swelling might not have gotten bad enough to kill them. The swelling might have even been insignificant enough to allow them to complete the climb.

Yes because carbs by their nature are inflammatory.

People who spout off about the magical anti-inflammatory properties of this or that breakthrough dietary supplement, while eating a typical carb-loaded American diet based on the demonic food pyramid, crack me up
