Basically people are mad because when anyone clicks on that WaPo link, the host of that link makes money (from our data and just from advertisers who look at how many clicks a website gets in determining how much to pay for ad space.)
So, when someone links directly to, say, Washington Post, CNN. NYTs, or other very, very progressive, anti-Trump "news" websites, those sites get hundreds or thousands of new clicks and more money to fight Trump. Thus, spreading the word to use sites like archive.is or Internet Archive, Wayback Machine's "save page now" function
