Over 50% of "Silicon Valley Tech Workforce" are foreign born. Older tech workers are all now forced out, losing homes, savings, and hope. No chance of re-employment outside of Walmart. Long ago replaced by h1b and offshoring.
They can bring in cheaper foreign workers that will have to live where they say. US workers don't want to move to those places from where they are now. Tech companies aren't necessarily well run and they don't spread out through the country where workers are available.
