We (those who want to conserve the size of gov) have a different belief system. We believe in the individual and creating opportunity. It's common sense, why not, we (most of us) live in the land of opportunity.
While there are a few of them who think "free stuff" is good, a huge amount of them see it as a way to control and maintain the populace. they have different goals then ours, we thrive on competition, they thrive on the status quo.
