Well what I do is block all scripts by default (which obviously breaks a lot of sites) and then enable just the ones I need to make the site function.

Most sites don't directly host content, they just embed youtube for example, or use something like disqus to provide comments, so after I enable it once I have many sites covered.

Then I just export this list to a file and import it into my addon if I reinstall or wipe my computer. It's not perfect, but it makes the web much more bearable. It stops a lot of garbage like automatic redirects from occurring, but it is painful to set up the first time.
