Employing the term "sobriety" in reference to Pelosi's shitshow? hhhhmmmm

RedDuck 12 points ago +12 / -0

Talk is cheap and nobody is impressed with this lame jab.

McConnel should never have allowed this to happen in the first place. Instead I bet he will allow the Dems to call their own witnesses.

McConnel should never have allowed this to happen in the first place

If he shuts it down the liberal media and Dems say mitch / senate is covering up for trump and it looks very bad to swing voters

If he lets it play out Nancy and Co hang themselves with their own rope

They will say that a way that’s the point. Why do you try and play fair with someone who has already shown that the cheat. They aren’t going to give you credit for being the nice guy. They will just explain that weakness. Gotta fight fire with fire.

We do it for the swing voters and moderates

Lots of voters barely follow politics and news. Many don't have the free time.

We want good optics

He's done that twice now in recent days hah.

I agree, I must have been in a good mood.

None of the House Republicans broke rank. 5 House Dems did.

Collins and Romney will be turncoats, that's obvious, perhaps one or two more Repubs as well. One or two Senate Dems may vote no as well.

But the votes will largely be for show. They're not getting 2/3 in the Senate, it won't happen.

10
ProfessorRomendev 10 points ago +11 / -1

oh shit, you need a 2/3 vote?

That's really good news! I was worried there would be enough traitors to kick Trump out of office!

24
spezisacuckold 24 points ago +24 / -0

If he was convicted for literally nothing wrong, then a civil war would break out.

No that's not hyperbolic. No I'm not advocating it. I'm saying of all things, of all hills to die on, this would be 1000 steps too far for too many people and civil war would break out.

Agreed. There is a tipping point where you either uphold the Constitution or you relegate it to history.

Give me LIBERTY or give me DEATH.

I'd like to take this moment to post how great it is that you can speak truth without getting banned.

You read my mind. You can not help stupid, dems/commies really. But the real test will be Bar and Durham. Lets see how they can right the boat of law. If not, we are going to the mattresses. But that is what the left wants, all things to stop and after a while. They will come forward and say, we can fix it. Ya fix what you started. It will be to late then. The gloves for me will have already been removed. Along with them.

2
fthecoup [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

--But the real test will be Bar and Durham.--

Yes that is a real test but I say we'll really know next week when McConnell, Graham, et.al. either shut this coup down OR allow the shitshow to continue.

TheKekingKing 4 points ago +4 / -0

QAnon called it in 2018. "Senate was the key". Trump even offered Republican votes to get Pelosi for speaker, He new her son was fucked knee deep In Ukraine bullshit. Get your fucking ?you fucking ? and watch the ? save America.

Umilmi81 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Democrats are only pursuing this because they know it will fail. If they thought it even had a slimmer of a chance of passing they wouldn't play this game. They know there would be blood in the streets if they actually removed him from office based on lies and political games.

4touchdownbundy 4 points ago +4 / -0

They’ll just go on and on about GOP corruption and it wasn’t fair how the impeachment proceedings were organized and they’ll try this shit again later.

Obviously it's possible, the swamp runs deep, but I'm fairly confident.

OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

The whole government across most of the country are Socialists. Our side doesn't run for office against them. We don't vote enough, especially locally. It's our own fault and our party is barely legitimate.

If the Democrats gain control of the Senate, you can bet your ass they will change the rule to a simple majority vote.

5
Marshall 5 points ago +5 / -0

The Constitution cannot be changed by a simple majority vote in either or both houses. It requires 38 states to support it. That won't happen.

4
NocturnalPatrol 4 points ago +4 / -0

If there's one thing you can always count on Democrats to do, it's get around the Constitution. That's what they are doing with the Electoral College. They are bypassing it, right under our noses, and they're succeeding without much resistance.

Romney, Murkowski, and Lee

Collins stood tall for Kavanaugh. She exceeded my expectations.

I hope she would do it again.

1
OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't think Collins will vote to impeach. She wants this to look more legitimate than that farce in the House. She will then make a very good speech like she did after Kavanaugh.

Censure Pelosi.

6
ProudAmerican 6 points ago +10 / -4

Mitch is not on our team. He’s playing the game for the establishment, not the people.

8
fthecoup [S] 8 points ago +9 / -1

We are going to find out where the true allegiance is with the Senators next week. And, we should know the truth about Barr and Durham within the next two months.

5
ProudAmerican 5 points ago +6 / -1

We have already been shown where their allegiance lies and it isn’t with the people. When the numbers across the aisle are nearly even, it only takes a few to protect the entire lot. They are all completely corrupted and shift the responsibility onto the handful of players who are not up for re-election. There is no such thing as a Republican and nothing our representatives have done shows they are working for the tax payer.

4
BakeRatDotWin 4 points ago +4 / -0

I agree. He is not on our team. He is currently a useful tool, however.

If Easy D is removed, Pence should immediately appoint him as HIS veep. This would need to be confirmed by the Senate.

2
giveupitscrazy 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree, however I'm excited to see what comes of this.

It's just more ammunition to absolutely destroy leftist talking points on impeachment.

There's never going to be a 2/3rds majority to vote impeachment, and trump isn't guilty, so why not let the shit show play out? Let democrats fail even worse when so many of their gaping holes are shining in the spotlight.

Mitch may not be on team trump, but this course of action has very few downsides for trump

2
buco 2 points ago +2 / -0

Right now he has Senate rules to follow. Next week he needs to call the vote for aquitall immediately after opening statements. Done.

5
Yuri_Gagarin 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well Pelosi is an alcoholic.
