"Those that know me understand that numbers are my friends. I am such an avid fan of facts. So, because I was curious, I went out to the Census Bureau database to look at percentage gains in household income, by quintile, between 2017 and 2018. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found.

Here are the numbers, no spin. The first two numbers are the thresholds to enter each quintile. 2018 and 2017. The last number represents the percentage gain in income, year over year.

Second quintile: $25,600, $24,827...... 3.11% gain Third quintile: $50,000, $47,218...........5.89% gain Fourth quintile: $79,542, $77,158.........3.09% gain Fifth quintile: $130,000, $126,605....... 2.68% gain

Top 5%: $248,728, $244,088..............1.90% gain

So somebody please tell me again that income inequality is getting worse? According to this, it is getting better - and getting better especially within the lower middle class."
