Why don't we just treat Jews with equality?

No religion, people or country is beyond criticism.

Rather than demanding people remain silent, let 'em express their opinion and you can ignore it or challenge it if you disagree. That's how free speech is supposed to work.

Speech laws, like they have in Europe, banning Islamophobic and antisemitic speech are dangerous because claims can be both Islamophobic and true or antisemitic and true.

One thing they would all tell you, is that the Talmud is so complex

Have you considered that Jews may not be the best source of unbiased information about the Jewish Talmud, in the same way that a Muslim likely won't criticize the teachings of Muhammad, their perfect, child raping, terrorist prophet?

That applies doubly to religions that promote lying, such as Islam and Judaism:

  • "Jews may use lies to get what they want from non-Jews" - Talmud: Baba Kamma 113a

  • "If a Jew is tempted to do evil, he should be sneaky about it and do it among people who don't know him." - Talmud: Moed Kattan 17a

  • "Non-Jews have no human rights or legal protection. All of their money belongs to Israel." - Talmud: Baba Kamma 37b

  • "Jews must destroy Christianity." - Talmud: Shabbath 116a

  • "Jews may have sex with children as long as they are younger than nine years old." - Talmud: Sanhedrin 111b

  • "When adult Jews have sex with infant girls, it is nothing." - Talmud: Kethuboth 11b

”This is a deliberate quote out of context. The passage discusses robbers and tax collectors who are acting illegally, and in particular in the context of suits against non-Jews with no legal system that recognizes the rights of Jews. The Talmud is addressing whether it is permitted to use subterfuge to circumvent their criminal acts. The quoted text is part of that discussion -- and, as it happens, is the losing side. Here is a more complete quote: "Where a suit arises between an Israelite and a heathen, if you can justify the former according to the laws of Israel, justify him and say: 'This is our law'; also if you can justify him by the laws of the heathens justify him and say [to the other party] 'This is your law'; but if this cannot be done we use subterfuges to circumvent him, this is the view of Rabbi Ishmael, but Rabbi Akiva said that we should not attempt to circumvent him, on account of the sanctification of the Name". This is a fairly standard bit of intentional misuse of this quote. Whoever extracted this quote did it intentionally to distort and mislead.“

in the context of suits against non-Jews with no legal system that recognizes the rights of Jews

First issue: Jews should have the same legal rights as everyone else.

If a Jew thinks he is justified to lie because he's not getting special legal treatment i.e. being treated like "God's chosen people", then that just makes those people liars.

I similarly can't expect strangers to kneel and kiss my ring because I believe I am the Space Pope.

if you can justify the former according to the laws of Israel

Again, the Talmudic quote refers to Jews lying because non-Jews aren't treating them in accordance with their religious laws... which claim Jews are a master race who deserve special treatment.

Once again, my initial translation is true because the Talmud does claim that Jews can lie to non-Jews if they feel justified to do so.

According to the Talmud and your Rabbi, a Jew can lie to get whatever he wants as long as he believes he deserves to take it.

It doesn't matter what sort of flowery frame you put on that picture, it still means the same thing.

I stand by my original Talmudic translation.

Is there anything else you'd like to contribute?

The Babylonian shit you’re trying to push doesn’t actually exist in the Hebrew text. Besides that, I don’t give a fuck about any religion. Neither should you.

I don’t give a fuck about any religion. Neither should you.

You should care about different religions teachings because people act on their beliefs.

For example, Islam teaches that it's good to rape and terrorize non Muslim women and children... which is almost certainly how Sweden became the rape capital of Europe after being flooded with Muslim invaders.

Muslims acting on their pedophile religious teachings also explains how these refugees were central in the rape of at least 19,000 children in Rotherham, England.

Religion matters because people act on their beliefs.
