I have a lot of problems with the attitude from boomers on a wide range of issues. That being said, the “ok boomer” thing has shifted into a direct insult being used incorrectly and too often.
Honestly, I just wish the boomer generation would take into account the differences between their time period and that of those who came after them. They really didn’t have the hardships as we know them, but continue to suggest it’s because our generation is lazy or some shit.
My biggest issue is they had their whole lives to earn and save while not being subjected to 60 million foreign nationals competing for their jobs and dropping wages to unlivable levels. They received 50 times the interest on savings accounts from current levels and there weren’t all the fees we suffer with now. This is just one small example and there are many more.
I wish more boomers would take into account the fact that they were the last generation that received the benefits of their labor without suggesting our generation simply doesn’t work as hard as they did. It truly bothers me that boomers, like my parents, compare their successes to ours as if it’s apples to apples.
