I guess it's possible, but Ted's fairly low on the seniority list. So that would be a longshot.

He's my Senator. I vote for him, but he needs to go through the steps first. He would be good as Judiciary Committee Chairman. People in Texas were very put off by his first election, then 2 years later, as a new Senator, he ran for President. It's part of why Beto got so close to winning.

It's the same thing Kamala Harris did. She thinks she is so wonderful she got elected then immediately ran for President.
