My neighbor wanted to go to the cinema last year so I took her to that Brad pit in space movie. I ended up talking about it at work and with my neighbor for probably 30 or 45 minutes total; talking about about how awful and bad the writing was and how the undertones are to comfort childhood abandonment through normalization, to convince the audience to cave into futility while promoting blind faith to a stranger's account, bind allegiance to the state regardless if the state is trying to murder you or not.
The writers were so dogshit absolutely the worst butchering of an attempt to make a space Pinocchio I've ever seen. The title of the film latin Ad Astra synonym of persuiting the star, The star is a symbol of your hearts wishes and desires and the film writes itself down that course, then literally butchers those dreams on screen, in an attempt to have the audience cave to evil through futility; It is complete evil.
The movie was so malevolently bad with such awful plot holes I'm still pissed off. I gave money and publicity through association to the most malevolent indecent people intentionally ruining society through their work, it makes me want to puke.
I've been in the boycott mindset since ~ 2016 - 2017, god how I do not regret that decision.
