I tend to think the opposite. These are the ones going around claiming to be "strong independent women" and getting laid on the first date. They're typically shallow, let the media/internet do the thinking for them, and parrot what other people are doing to make them look less shallow. I think it boils down to their repetitive "i am a strong independent woman" mantra. They know they're not and don't know how, so they get comfortable with lying to themself instead (fake it to make it). After that they have no problem eating up and repeating any other lies.

Not that I don't believe a woman can be strong and/or independent, i just tend to think that it's pointless and vain. Men and women were made to be a pair and they're better as a team.
