I want to point out that not remembering pain is a justification people use for cutting the genitals of baby boys (and girls probably). Not even don't feel it, as it's obvious how much pain those babies are in.
Just an FYI, all the pediatricians I've seen perform circumcisions (I work in hospitals) use local anesthesia to prevent pain. I'm sure some docs still don't, but the idea that babies don't feel pain is archaic.

And once the anesthesia wears off...
