Microbiologist here. If I was going to start a huge outbreak via bioterrorism, I would create a virus that infects easily and quickly before symptoms start. Then I would infect volunteers and send them across the global to the busiest airports.
Yeah I played that game too pandemic or something? If the virus was too lethal too early it would be noticed and quarantined then I could never get to those pesky island nations that had closed borders and travel.

How can a virus be let out of a building? Like it was a giant vaporized cloud in a room and someone opened the window as a bunch of people were walking by?
Scientist/janitor/other worker doesn't follow protocol, comes in contact with or is infected by the virus, goes to lunch and bumps into/sneezes on someone or some thing and the party starts.
Any ideas how it started?

Something made in China, that’s an original design and actually works? Such a fluke, it could only happen in end times.
Also this: known in Sichuan cuisine is a soup made from undigested mosquito from bat droppings.
At this point, I think if a homeless man were pooping on the side walk, a Chinese person would crouch behind them, catching it in their mouth.

Chinese "bush meat" is my guess. They'll eat anything in general and that's even more true for the poorer ones.
