This has been one of my pet peeves for many years. NPR radio and TV started out as pure arts channels - fine music, art, photography, dance, theater, film, comedy and literature. We never heard political opinions. I was a huge supporter, and I donated every year. I knew I could tune in to NPR on the radio at any time, 24/7, to hear classical or jazz music, history and commentary. TV focused more on the visual arts, but they had music segments, too. It was not political. Little by little they drifted away from their core programming and became political voices for the left with the arts sprinkled in like window dressing. They lost me years ago, and our taxpayers should not be supporting a partisan political organization..
