These 'authors' are creating a channel to explain their sudden wealth. IOW, a way to launder their payoff from the deepstate. Nobody is actually buying the books. You'll be able to pick a copy up in the dollar bin almost immediately.

Pretty sure these books are generated by "ghostwriters" not the so-called authors. As such, if the ghostwriter put anything of substance in the book it would be culled by the editors. If anything truly substantial somehow made it through to print, the shill could just admit they didn't really write the book, and wriggle off the hook. Embarrassing, but no jail time. Also the culprits would likely suffer some unfortunate accidents.

You might think that, but the push back is almost non-existent. I agree with you in principle but the reality is lying about what's in a book is now a defacto sales tool. Marketing and "misstatements" seem to have gotten married and their children are money laundering book deals.

I'm trying to understand who reads these "memoirs."

Money laundering through book deals. He will be paid to lie like they all are. No lie, they expose your pedophilia.
