I am in awe. Stunned. He really has made the Democrats look like petty, vindictive, partisan hacks who are out to destroy the American system of government.

CNNBC will have to go through some serious mental gymnastics to counter Dershowitz.

He's a genius lawyer, with incredible historical knowledge.

" He really has made the Democrats look like petty, vindictive, partisan hacks who are out to destroy the American system of government."

He's great, but I don't think that takes exemplary skill

Only an extra special stupid biased TDS Senator would vote for impeachment after Dershowitz's speech.

His entire talk should be published as an individual work. It was that good. A thorough study of the American Presidential Impeachment process.

Alan Dershowitz said,
"Everyone should take the shoe on the other foot test."
Adam Schiff put his right shoe on his left foot.
Did his best Arnold Horshack imitation.
The Chief Justice recognized him.
Schiff put his foot up on the table.
Said it was proof Trump was guilty.

(RIP Rodney Dangerfield)

Love him or hate him, he has always been a superior constitutional intellect.

After the Senate farce is over, Trump admin needs to sue the House over this unconstitutional impeachment. The whole idea that impeachment is whatever Congress thinks it is an abomination to the Constitution.

So we can expect another retarded "comedy" skit from snl about Dershowitz in hell? Losers love the left.

Ok. Brilliant speech. But what is wrong with this guy? Liked Clinton? Ok, maybe he did not believe his accusers, or was fine with it. Or not aware of the technology transfer to China, which pretty much caused its rapid development and sub-sequential environmental damage and aggressive expansion.

But voting for Hillary??? After she set the world on fire together with 0bama from Libya to Syria AND keeping sensitive SOS information on an unsecured private server every agency in the world treated like a free info buffet? What's wrong with him?

I suppose it's possible that you could have immense legal knowledge but total shit taste for or understanding of politicians. I think a person can disagree with someone and still give them a great legal defense which is what lawyers are supposed to do.

I suspect he was like I was. Go through life living with a high set of values, understanding that most people don't have them, but still giving them the benefit of the doubt. Thinking that the press, although it has some bias, still must try and report the truth otherwise they would go out of business, right? Treat other people as you want to be treated. If I want people to think I'm honest, first I need to expect them to be honest with me. Sure it opens the door to being manipulated or worse, but I'm smart enough to pick up on that. Then he saw his world torn apart after he started noticing things. He took the red pill without even realizing it I think. All his friends disowned him for the horrible crime of just asking questions. Trump changed it all in 2016, it was just stunning to me to see the media outright lie about things, and I sat there scratching my head saying wait a minute that's not what happened. He most likely didn't grasp just how filthy and corrupt our political system had become. I know I certainly hadn't. Then I sat there wondering how many people have known this all along.

Was the Epstein bullshit just to control him? Looks like it didn't work

I thought he was good too. He is actually explaining to us how the laws work. I was thinking while watching that this is the part the lefties tune out. I bet their eyes glaze over and they have no idea what is being said being too complicated for them and lacking the conspiracies and constant shitting on Trump and Congress. When Schiff rambles on with his wild theories day after day I'm sure they can keep up with that. I'm half expecting Twitter to be full today of people bitching about the use of big words that exclude women and minorities disproportionately.

Dems:. "Hmm, didn't know Dershowitz is a Jedi name."

Really excellent, but very long. The crux of it being that after the collapse of the Russia collusion narrative, the worst accusations they have attempted to make against POTUS would not be impeachable even if factually proven.

In some ways, this seems self-evident as the whole question is absolutely inconsequential compared to DACA, or pallets of cash to Iran, or the Obamacare mandate all of which have more than questionable legality. It only even relates to a few career politicians instead of 100s of millions of Americans.

In any case, if you are looking for more than the common sense rejection of the cases weakness, this is the full proof of the inadequacy of the allegations.

"But Dershowtiz is just a dirty Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!" -literal smooth brains here.

This impeachment trial should get a Golden Globe for the best television comedy of 2020.
