Reason is simple: hollywood movies are shit. Every movie made is unrealistic and pandering to stupid stereotypes. Take the latest Terminator: basically "three women and a robot". Also a 'coyote' can now apparently be a decent person, not a drug/sex trafficking asshole. The latest Rambo may also be a shitty film, but it's a much more accurate representations of las putas mexicanos and the kind of shit they are up to.
Agreed, I hope more people discover how awesome reading is! I adore reading, actual books, not e-books (no offense meant to those who like them) so much to learn from, or just enjoy!

Also, at my local Library, I've been seeing tons of parents just drop their kids off on Saturday and Sunday's, because they offer free snacks and movies like a daycare. Which in principle should be nice, but dangerous to just leave young kids all day until closing time, the Librarians do not claim to watch over the kids, they could just walk out with a stranger and no one notice.
