This is what I don't like at all. It's apparently more contagious and you might not shown signs for 2 weeks, but nah let's bring them all back here. Keep them at the embassy.
I think the idea is to keep them in quarantine there. Otherwise you're correct, it'd be incredibly stupid. CDC says it's much more difficult to spread asymptomatically than after symptoms appear, which is why we haven't seen outbreak explosions outside of China, even though the virus has been loose for nearly 2 months.
Agree to an extent. Not a doctor or nurse but a pta (same good pay, less school). Even though we use the hospital facilities we're a separate entity entirely. When that Zika thing hit hard most of the hospitals down here barely had enough to quarantine. We had to keep forcing nurses to move the patients elsewhere as they kept wanting to put them in our facility. Once the first big wave subsided the hospital was able to retrieve more supplies to help, but that first week was bad.
Going to the hospital is a mistake, you're just more likely to catch the virus and overwhelm the system. Better to call in, evaluate, and have someone come to you if you truly think you have it. Other than that, raise your immunity as best you can, observe proper hygiene, and don't interact with anyone if you can manage it.
That said, CDC is working on multiple responses, based on their work with SARS. Some antiviral stuff, containment, etc. Vaccine in 3 months, so don't be holding your breath for that. Optimistically, the fact this has been around for 2 months and there's no explosions of it outside of China, is promising. Nor any deaths outside of China for 2 months. On the negative side, if you're in China, the CCP and Chinese culture is responsible for their own country's genocide.
They don't have a cure and because they will have no room then you spend all your time driving around to different hospitals.. better to stay home and drink a lot of water. Eat Coconut oil.. take L-Lysine .. and lots of Vit-C .. all the Vit-Bs.. Vit-D Also put salt water (saline sprays) in your nose and gargle with Salt water.. let it sit on your throat.
While i'm not a fan of the scaremongering about this, people really have to take this seriously even if you don't believe this will go full corona boogaloo. One thing that separates us from China though is we are much more sanitary here and we use western medicine and not ox horn, honeysuckle and AIDS medications to handle our diseases.
Prayers this starts to burn itself out sooner than later. Be safe, everyone and wash your damn hands! ??

Here’s a a little “secret”... your local hospital is barely... and I mean barely ready for the usual day to day volume... much less a global pandemic.
But don’t worry. Nothing to see here. It’ll all be ok. Just sleep.
