The GOP candidate won by 16 point? What the hell do you expect from a minor local election?

What is a non-Texan like me missing from this headline?

Not sure what OP is trying to say here. This race was heavily funded by the left, outsiders and their monies trying to buy votes. That area isn't inside Houston tho, it is home to hard working people who choose to live outside the city for a reason after all, and they are not fooled by the likes of Warren and O'rourke campaigning for that horrid Markowitz person running on the left, she was a complete mess, you'd cross the street to avoid her if you saw her coming.

But the national leftists came in here with ad blitzes and parading around talking about queer this and redistribute that and free stuff over yonder trying to buy votes which simply are not for sale. This was a minor little race for a Texas House seat out west of Houston, but drew national attentions because the Enemy is desperate to get wins wherever they can. They spent National efforts on an insignificant Texas House seat, that is worth noting; the Enemy has lots of money and will spend it on local races, Texas might not be easy to fool but in other places they may gain seats.

Y'all can expect to see this stuff all over, the national and international monies coming in to politik in little local races.

OP is lost here.

To your comment about Texas not being easily fooled, but others are -- Yep. See: VA

OP has a great point. POTUS would not be going through bogus impeachment if more Rs had voted in the 2018 off-year election. They sat on their asses while Ds took control of the House. There has got to be more emphasis on GOYDAV -- Get Off Your Damn Ass and Vote!

That being said, it was nice to see so many Ds sitting this one out. :-)

I went to vote last night at 6:00 PM and there were three - 3 - voters in line. This was after work for most people, so...no excuse.

So because some people didn't vote in a special election (historically low turnout, always) that the GOP won handily anyways, the world is ending?

If you're serious, get a grip dude. If you're a ShareBlue bot, all I can say is lol.
