As much as I hate to say it, they have a point. Gay sex and straight sex should be treated equally (harshly) under the law. Obviously, this doesn't speak to the rest of the issues with the bill like missing age guidelines (assuming it's a replacement law and not an amendment).

My state doesn't even treat straight sex equally as only men can be charged with rape of women. Women or gay men can't be charged due to the rape law specifically referencing use of a penis on a female victim.
