I have found that despite being bombarded with leftist programming my sons have been able to resist due to their engineering majors. It can probably be best summed up by my older (mechanical engineering) son's comment that material science and thermodynamics don't give a damn about your feelings.
However even in a hard science field both boys have found themselves having to play the SJW game. After all about a third of your classes in the first two years are outside of your specialty and you need to maintain that 3.0 to keep your scholarships. One "D" in philosophy or English lit and tens of thousands of dollars worth of hard won scholarships go down the drain. So you learn to repeat the talking points the professor wants to hear like a good little robot. Basically freshman and sophomore years consist of leftist indoctrination. Then junior, senior years and especially coop assignments consist of the real world beating that indoctrination out of them.
